What is ABA therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based approach that utilizes scientific principles of behavior to effect socially significant changes in behavior and teach new skills.

Services we provide

In home & at school ABA therapy

ABA therapy in the home conveniently provides services in a familiar and comfortable setting during times that work for you and your child. Home-based ABA incorporates a whole family approach, allowing for increased opportunities for skill generalization and maintenance.

In-home ABA also helps with quicker adjustment times to the care plan for everyone. Additionally, ABA therapy in the home generally provides ample types of natural reinforcers, increasing the likelihood of the skills to be learned.

ABA therapy in the school setting allows for children to learn and develop in a more supportive manner. School-based ABA is a great option to assist with learning new skills, especially social skills, while decreasing challenging behavior.

In-school ABA is also beneficial as teachers and therapists, along with other team members, can help children by working together toward mutual outcomes.

Understanding ABA Therapy Across Our Service Areas

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy is a scientifically validated approach rooted in the principles of learning and motivation to increase positive behaviors and reduce challenging ones. While speech therapy near me often targets articulation, and speech therapy for kids or toddlers addresses early language milestones, our ABA therapy provides a comprehensive, data-driven framework to build communication, social, and adaptive skills across all settings.

Our programs adhere to the highest professional standards, guided by the Association for Behavior Analysis, the leading organization in the field. Every treatment plan is designed and overseen by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), who uses continuous progress monitoring to refine strategies and ensure meaningful outcomes. We deliver these services through our in-home & at-school ABA therapy model, collaborating closely with families and educators. The same comprehensive and collaborative approach—grounded in BCBA oversight and data-driven decisions—applies uniformly across our service areas in New Jersey, in North Carolina, in Arizona, in Colorado, and in Utah.

Local Factors for ABA Therapy and Speech Support

Beyond the general advantages, families must consider local factors that shape therapy delivery. State regulations, school-district partnerships, and provider availability all influence the experience of families searching for speech therapy near me in our service areas. We at Hidden Gems ABA Therapy deliver a comprehensive and collaborative approach across New Jersey, North Carolina, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah, adapting to each region's unique landscape.

Licensing requirements and Medicaid policies differ from state to state, affecting how in-home and at-school ABA therapy is accessed. In North Carolina, for example, we have established strong community ties by coordinating directly with local schools, as illustrated by our work in Fayetteville. This allows us to integrate speech therapy for kids and behavioral support into familiar daily routines. Similarly, early intervention pathways in Utah create distinct opportunities for speech therapy for toddlers.

Families can strengthen their child's development by connecting our ABA Therapy For Your Child's Success with classroom resources. Under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), families may access special education services to support their child's learning environment. These federal protections highlight the importance of a collaborative model where our team works alongside school staff.

These local factors influence how we design individualized treatment plans, as we'll explore next. Please consult a BCBA for personalized advice regarding local options.
